HOW TO PREPARE RICE BALLS

Today, I’m going to talk about omo tuo, which is one of my favorite dishes, especially when it comes with chicken and hot groundnut soup.

It is popular throughout Ghana and is not native to any one tribe. It is frequently served with chicken and thick groundnut soup. You can have omo tuo for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Rice balls and palm nut soup with snail meat are my personal favorites.

Ingredients of omo tuo

Rice

Water

Salt

The things to consider:

*Use sufficient water to make it simple to pound.

Steps in preparing Omo Tuo:

  1. Fill a clean bowl with rice, add water, then rinse to get rid of extra starch.
  2. Place the rice in the cooking vessel together with the salt and water.
  3. Put it over a flame to scald.
  4. Control the temperature to prevent burning the rice.
  5. After being cooked, knead the rice until it is tender with a wooden spatula.
  6. Continue until you achieve the required consistency.
  7. Scoop appropriate quantity into a small basin, then shape into spheres or rounds.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite soup, whether it’s groundnut or another.

9. Remaining rice balls should be put in the fridge or another container for storage.
